Evening Duty Manager - Student Accommodation

About the role

UniLodge Edith Cowan University - Joondalup is looking for confident, proactive full-time and casual Evening Duty Managers to help create a safe, secure and welcoming environment for student residents. The role is hands-on and covers after-hours operations, resident support and emergencies, acting as the on-site management representative when senior management is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted point of contact for residents, giving support, guidance and assistance
• Help the Management team with resident concerns, grievances and conflict resolution
• Respond to enquiries, noise complaints and disturbances professionally and in a timely way
• Assist residents with after-hours access and lockout requests
• Manage, document and resolve incidents, issues or emergencies during the shift
• Carry out routine property checks to keep the environment safe and secure
• Attend required training sessions and team meetings to stay up to date with policies and procedures

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
• Confidence in handling challenging situations and making independent decisions
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
