ESG Senior Consultant to Director

About the role

KPMG Australia is hiring for ESG roles within its Climate Change and Sustainability team, which helps organisations manage the risks and opportunities of non-financial issues and provides assurance on non-financial disclosures. The position suits people who share ESG and assurance insights with subject matter experts and clients, and who are project management pros able to see projects through from start to finish.

Required profile

• Climate Change and Sustainability: excellent knowledge of sustainability risk management, compliance and reporting, and general technical expertise across climate, water, waste, air quality and biodiversity, with a strong skillset in infrastructure, government, energy and natural resources.
• Experience developing, implementing and reviewing environmental, climate and sustainability strategies, targets and initiatives, including Key Performance Indicators.
• Assurance: experience with emissions assurance audits, and strong assurance knowledge covering planning, risk assessment, designing the assurance approach and procedures, testing and analysis, review and reporting.
• Relationship building with diverse internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to tailor communication for experts and clients.

Required skills

• International sustainability frameworks, guidelines and standards.
• Beneficial: Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), ISSB, GRI, SDGs, UNPRI, TCFD, GRESB, SASB, NGER, ERF and CDP.
• Practical ability to apply ISAE and ASAE auditing standards.
• Technical analysis of ESG processes and data measurement, including benchmarking organisational performance.
