ER/IR Lead

About the role

Veolia is looking for an experienced ER/IR specialist to join its Pyrmont team. The role is pivotal in shaping how the organisation engages, negotiates and builds trust, and covers a full spectrum of employee and industrial relations activities. It suits a strategic thinker who thrives in complexity and brings a data-driven approach.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day ER/IR advice to line managers, HR managers and HR business partners
• Coach, support and train managers and HR team members, including on planning and negotiating enterprise agreements
• Advise, participate in and lead enterprise agreement negotiations
• Manage claims end to end (e.g. Fair Work, AHRC), including drafting responses and submissions
• Advocate in the Fair Work Commission and other workplace tribunals as required
• Support complex workplace investigations and disciplinary matters, and advise on case management
• Lead dispute resolution and complex union matters
• Gather and analyse data metrics to make data-driven decisions

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in HR/IR or equivalent industry experience
• Demonstrated high-level experience as an ER/IR practitioner in a large organisation
• Experience advising on legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and industrial relations strategy
• Experience conducting complex workplace investigations and disciplinary matters
• Experience in enterprise agreement negotiations and in the Fair Work Commission and industrial tribunals
• Experience managing complex union matters and resolving disputes
• Own vehicle and clean driver's licence
