Environmental Superintendent

About the role

The Environmental Superintendent will lead a team of environmental professionals at Moranbah North Mine, ensuring delivery of the Annual Environmental Plan and compliance with all permits, legislation and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead innovation, development and support of site environmental programs and the Annual Environmental Plan.
• Coordinate and manage all environmental and cultural heritage matters, including stakeholder engagement and awareness campaigns.
• Maintain compliance with environmental licences, statutory requirements and the Environmental Authority.
• Develop and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) and ISO 14001 standards.
• Lead incident investigations, implement corrective actions and assist with environmental budgeting.

Required profile

• Senior environmental experience in resources or mining (preferably coal).
• Tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline.
• Strong knowledge of State and Federal environmental legislation.
• Proven leadership and team‑mentoring abilities.

Required skills

• ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Environmental legislation compliance.
• Environmental incident investigation and corrective action implementation.
