Environmental Coordinator

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join the HumeLink East team in Yass, Australia. You will be responsible for embedding robust environmental practices across the construction of a new 500 kV transmission line that supports Australia’s renewable energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain environmental management plans for the project.
• Monitor, record and report on environmental performance against targets and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all permits, licences and approvals throughout construction.
• Identify, assess and mitigate environmental risks associated with construction activities.
• Liaise with government agencies, community groups and contractors to address environmental concerns.
• Deliver environmental inductions, training sessions and toolbox talks for site personnel.
• Investigate and report any environmental incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in environmental roles on infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian environmental legislation, permits and approvals.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
