Enterprise Cloud and Platform Architect

About the role

The Enterprise Cloud and Platform Architect will shape architecture, governance and evolution of enterprise hosting, cloud, virtualisation, identity and platform services for Defence and national security customers. You will work across complex hybrid environments to align technology strategy with mission outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop enterprise cloud and infrastructure architectures, technology roadmaps, reference architectures and design patterns aligned with customer objectives.
• Design and govern hybrid cloud environments spanning AWS, Microsoft Azure and other platforms, including landing zones, migration strategies, integration patterns and operating models.
• Guide modernisation of enterprise hosting and virtualisation services, including container platforms, software‑defined infrastructure and legacy technology transition.
• Partner with stakeholders, engineering, security specialists, vendors and senior leaders to facilitate architecture workshops, technical reviews, governance and assurance activities.

Required profile

• At least seven years’ experience in cloud and platform engineering and/or architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise hybrid cloud environments using AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, including migration, transformation, governance and security.
• Experience with enterprise data‑centre and hosting environments, VMware vSphere, virtualisation, workload migration and networking architectures.
• Ability to engage senior customer stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly to executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related discipline.
