English Teacher (Senior School, Term 3 Replacement)

About the role

Saint Ignatius’ College Adelaide is seeking a passionate English Teacher for a Term 3, 2026 replacement contract (0.5–1.0 FTE). The role involves delivering the English curriculum to senior school students (Years 7–10) within a supportive, faith‑based environment that values intellectual rigour and character formation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for mixed‑ability classes across Years 7–10.
• Apply the Australian Curriculum to design assessments and learning activities.
• Provide constructive feedback that promotes student achievement and improvement.
• Participate in school‑wide educational initiatives, including the Tech Smart School program.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching English at senior secondary level.
• Ability to adapt traditional teaching methods to innovative, technology‑enhanced approaches.
• Commitment to the values of a Catholic, co‑educational day school.
• Flexibility to work part‑time or full‑time based on experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum for English.
