English Language Teacher – Adult Migrant Programs

About the role

Join a supportive teaching team delivering English Language Programs to adult migrants and other learners across Northern Victoria. You will primarily teach the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and may also support Foundation Skills courses, helping students improve their English, literacy and work‑readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging English language lessons for adult learners.
• Tailor learning journeys to meet individual student needs and program outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment results.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to ensure consistent program quality.
• Participate in professional development and adhere to TAFE teaching standards.

Required profile

• Alignment with organisational values of integrity, respect, community, collaboration, creativity and innovation.
• Relevant academic qualification – TESOL, or a four‑year Bachelor degree in English, Literacy or related field with TESOL methodology.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment as required by the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
