Engineering Manager

About the role

Lead one or more engineering teams within a global digital bank, shaping technical direction, fostering professional growth, and ensuring delivery of secure, high‑quality services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and coaching to engineering teams, overseeing system design, development, CI/CD, and production support.
• Maintain overall health of services, drive platform health initiatives, and ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
• Cultivate an inclusive, innovative culture that promotes collaboration and a strong sense of belonging.

Required profile

• Proven people‑leadership experience managing software engineering teams in an agile, fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects consistently, manage capacity, remove blockers, and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Experience owning incident‑management processes and balancing feature development with operational reliability.

Required skills

• Strong technical background in Java‑based software development.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
