Engineer - Maintenance Programs & Reliability

About the role

Northrop Grumman Australia is looking for an Engineer in its Maintenance Programs & Reliability team. The role uses engineering analysis and operational data to optimise aircraft maintenance programs, improve fleet reliability and support Defence capability outcomes for the Royal Australian Air Force's KC-30A fleet. It involves analysing maintenance and operational data, investigating reliability issues and helping develop the KC-30A Aircraft Maintenance Program.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse aircraft reliability and performance data
• Investigate technical defects and maintenance trends
• Support maintenance program reviews, updates and optimisation initiatives
• Contribute to airworthiness, integrity and sustainment activities
• Collaborate with Defence, OEMs and internal engineering teams to deliver operational outcomes

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Avionics or a related discipline
• At least two years' aviation industry experience
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1); Australian citizenship is required
• Experience in aircraft sustainment, maintenance programs, reliability engineering or Defence aviation is highly regarded
