Endpoint Engineering Team Leader

About the role

Datacom is seeking an Endpoint Engineering Team Leader to head a high‑performing team of Endpoint Engineers and application packagers. The role supports Federal Government clients, requiring Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance. Work is a mix of onsite and remote, with occasional after‑hours and weekend duties.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate, schedule and allocate resources to meet availability and support targets.
• Manage team performance, culture and workload to achieve SLA commitments.
• Oversee the support model, mentor junior engineers and resolve complex technical issues.
• Plan system capabilities, monitor platform performance and ensure compliance with the Standard Operating Environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience leading an endpoint engineering or SOE management team.
• 2+ years experience in a Managed Service Provider environment.
• Strong customer‑facing skills and proven ability to build relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 Cloud PC, Intune and SCCM (MECM).
• Experience with Active Directory Group Policy Management and PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and ITSM ticketing platforms.
• Project management principles and strong analytical problem‑solving abilities.
