Endorsed Midwife (Part-Time/Full-Time)

About the role

Earthside Midwifery, a private midwifery practice within Border Medical Laser & Aesthetics, is seeking an experienced Endorsed Midwife to join its team on a part-time basis in Northeastern Victoria. The role covers care from preconception through to the postnatal period and beyond, with in-hospital birth support offered as a fee-for-service option and patient load that can be capped to suit your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Support women and families through pregnancy, birth and beyond, offering care that goes beyond the moments in between.
• Carry out thoughtful assessments and create individualised care plans.
• Work with colleagues and local healthcare partners to ensure smooth, connected care.
• Provide reassurance and information so women feel confident and supported.
• Keep documentation clear, accurate and complete.
• Stay up to date with evidence-based, modern midwifery practice.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Endorsed Midwife.
• At least 2 years' experience as an Endorsed Midwife, preferably in a hospital or community-based setting.
• Strong clinical skills and a solid understanding of maternal and neonatal care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and a patient-centred approach.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities for complex situations.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice.
