Employment Consultant – Workforce Australia Program

About the role

The Employment Consultant will join APM’s Workforce Australia program at the Casuarina, NT site, helping participants prepare for, secure and sustain meaningful employment. You will act as a guide and advocate, matching individuals with suitable job opportunities and supporting them throughout the placement journey.

Key responsibilities

• Assist participants in identifying strengths, overcoming barriers and developing job‑search skills.
• Match participants with appropriate employment opportunities and support them to maintain long‑term positions.
• Design and deliver creative solutions to employment challenges, including workplace adjustments.
• Promote inclusive hiring practices and act as an advocate for participants with diverse abilities.
• Celebrate successful placements and recognise milestones with participants.
• Build and maintain partnerships with employers committed to diversity and inclusion.

Required profile

• Experience in customer‑facing roles such as sales, retail, call‑centre, hospitality, consulting or administration is advantageous.
