Employment Consultant - Disability Employment

About the role

APM is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Maroochydore, Queensland site within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. The role supports people with disability to find and keep sustainable employment, and sits within a human services group of over 16,000 people across 11 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Help participants with disability prepare for, find and maintain sustainable employment
• Identify each person's employment match and boost their confidence in their strengths
• Create creative solutions to employment challenges and provide the tools and support needed for success
• Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and workplace adjustments
• Build partnerships with companies committed to diversity and inclusion

Required profile

• A champion of diversity and inclusion who believes everyone deserves a chance to succeed
• A natural connector able to create opportunities for participants and speak confidently to stakeholders
• Innovative and solutions-focused, seeing challenges as opportunities
• Compassionate and empathetic, wanting a lasting positive impact on others' lives
• Experience in other fields such as sales, retail, call centres, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration is an advantage
