Embedded Software V&V Engineer – Development & Execution

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Embedded Software V&V Engineer to join Bosch’s Vehicle Motion Control team in Clayton. The role focuses on black‑box testing and validation of embedded software for automotive closed‑loop systems, using state‑of‑the‑art Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse system and software requirements to create comprehensive test specifications.
• Design, develop and execute black‑box tests for embedded software on closed‑loop HIL systems.
• Ensure validation activities align with the software development lifecycle, particularly the V‑model framework.
• Evaluate test results, identify software defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Document test procedures, results and defect reports in accordance with quality standards.

Required profile

• Highly motivated and enthusiastic about embedded software verification and validation.
• Experience or strong interest in automotive embedded systems and closed‑loop control.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
