Electronics/PCB Design Engineer

About the role

L3Harris is seeking an Electronics/PCB Design Engineer for its Eight‑Mile Plains centre of excellence. You will design, develop and support innovative electronic hardware solutions across schematic capture, PCB design, prototyping, testing and production support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and prototype new power and control circuits, including programmable logic devices, from concept through to production.
• Generate DC schematic diagrams and PCB layouts using Altium and create DC power budgets.
• Review designs, manage subcontractors for PCB fabrication and population, and perform part stress analysis and reliability predictions.
• Document product designs, generate bills of materials for ERP entry, and support procurement and production activities.
• Provide technical reporting, risk assessments, and contribute to bids, proposals and internal quality processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 4+ years relevant experience.
• Eligibility for registration with the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Altium for DC schematic capture and PCB layout.
• EMI/EMC compliance testing.
• Design for manufacturing and creation of assembly/test documentation.
• Reliability prediction and part stress analysis.
• Power budgeting and BOM generation.
