Electrical Technician

About the role

Orica is seeking an Electrical Technician to join its team in Kalgoorlie, supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of its manufacturing plant and equipment. It suits a qualified electrician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement in an industrial setting. The role works a Monday to Friday roster and offers long-term career development within a global organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs to support safe and reliable plant operations
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Work with the Maintenance Superintendent to develop practical, cost-effective maintenance solutions
• Support plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work with Production and Maintenance teams to optimise equipment performance and efficiency
• Complete all work in line with Orica's Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) standards and procedures

Required profile

• A current Australian Electrical Licence (essential)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing, processing, mining, industrial or similar environment
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Commitment to high safety standards and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team

Required skills

• Instrumentation experience and SAP knowledge are highly regarded but not essential
