Electrical Estimator – Utilities & Infrastructure

About the role

Fulton Hogan is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for projects across the water and wastewater sectors. The role involves analysing designs, liaising with suppliers, and supporting operations with budget forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, competitive cost estimates for electrical works on LV and HV networks.
• Analyse design specifications to determine scope, materials, labour and cost requirements.
• Act as primary contact with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and lead‑time information.
• Coordinate and submit tenders, bids and formal proposals in line with project deadlines.
• Support operations with programme monitoring, budget forecasts and risk assessments.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrical Estimator.
• Electrical engineering qualification or trade background.
• Proven experience in civil construction or utilities infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Electrical systems estimation (LV & HV).
• Tender preparation and bid management.
• Cost analysis and budgeting.
• Supplier and subcontractor liaison.
