Electrical Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Join a well‑established engineering team delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects across transport, energy, industrial and critical facilities. The role covers the full project lifecycle from detailed design and calculations through testing, commissioning support and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, single‑line diagrams and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations including cable sizing, voltage drop, fault level analysis, protection coordination and earthing studies.
• Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets and bills of materials.
• Coordinate electrical designs with multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
• Review and support production of engineering drawings and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and project requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
• Provide technical support to project delivery and site teams as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
• 3–5 years post‑graduate experience in electrical design within industrial, infrastructure, utilities, rail, energy or data‑centre environments.
• Proven experience with electrical design calculations and documentation.
• Full Australian working rights.

Required skills

• AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Electrical design calculations: cable sizing, voltage drop, fault level analysis, protection coordination, earthing studies.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
• Preparation and management of engineering documentation and technical records.
