EHS Coordinator – Manufacturing

About the role

The EHS Coordinator will support the manufacturing site in Wagga Wagga by ensuring health, safety and environmental systems are effectively applied. This permanent position offers the chance to grow within a global food and beverage leader.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and apply EHS policies, management systems, internal controls and equipment across all departments.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and corporate requirements and conduct due diligence.
• Coordinate and follow up on EHS audits and action plans.
• Work with the EHS Mentor and Site Manager to mitigate business continuity risks through forward planning.
• Provide qualitative and quantitative EHS performance data and risk assessments.
• Manage post‑injury processes and ensure appropriate systems are in place site‑wide.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related technical discipline, or a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Relevant experience in EHS or safety management within a processing or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of legal systems, regulatory enforcement and experience liaising with regulatory agencies.
• Eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Safety Management Systems such as AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Experience with waste water treatment processes and EHS auditing.
• Strong computer and IT literacy.
