Education Support Officer

About the role

The Education Support Officer at the Northern Sound System or Gawler site (Elizabeth Flexible School) reports to the Head of Campus/Area Principal and is responsible to the Area Principal. The officer supports and maintains the site's learning and social inclusion responses, guided by the EREA Charter's four touchstones: Gospel Spirituality, Inclusive Community, Liberating Education and Justice and Solidarity. The position is full-time, permanent (term-time), starting in January 2027.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working with disenfranchised youth in an education setting.
• Working with Children clearance and a Catholic Police Clearance from the Archdiocese of Adelaide.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence.
• Knowledge of why young people disengage from education and the barriers they face in reaching Year 12 or equivalent.
• Commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system in the Edmund Rice tradition.

Required skills

• Strong IT skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with staff at all levels and with a wide range of industry stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills, independence, confidentiality and ability to meet deadlines.
