Education Officer – Early Years Learning Centre

About the role

The Education Officer will develop, implement and manage high‑quality early learning experiences for children from birth to five years at the Chigwell Child and Family Learning Centre. This role supports the centre’s mission to achieve strong developmental outcomes and smooth transitions to school.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Observe, assess and document individual child progress, providing targeted interventions.
• Lead the formulation and continuous improvement of centre programs.
• Collaborate with local schools and early‑years teaching teams to ensure continuity of learning.
• Maintain a child‑safe environment and uphold quality standards set by ACECQA.

Required profile

• Essential qualifications as defined by the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award.
• Qualifications recognised by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) – employment status.
• Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
