Edit Assistant

About the role

Flying Bark Productions is seeking an Edit Assistant to provide editorial assistance and technical support across multiple animation projects, including collaborations with Disney and Netflix. The role involves managing media files, supporting editors, and ensuring smooth editorial workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Import and export various file formats in Avid Media Composer to meet production needs.
• Assist editors with animatics, dialogue takes, sound effects, and music cues.
• Assemble sequences for editorial review and deliver updated scenes.
• Track dialogue changes from scratch to final delivery.
• Record scratch tracks as required and maintain a library of sound effects and music cues.
• Participate in story and edit pipeline meetings to ensure a smooth process.
• Liaise with storyboard, production, and other departments to keep edits up‑to‑date.
• Quality‑control all cuts leaving editorial and adhere to delivery schedules.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of Avid Media Composer.
• Passion for film and storytelling with a good eye for detail.
• Strong problem‑solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to flag issues that could impact production schedules.
