Early Childhood Teacher - Koonawarra Community Preschool

About the role

BFS Children's Services is looking for an Early Childhood Teacher for its Koonawarra Community Preschool, a community preschool that cares for up to 46 children aged 0-5. The preschool operates three rooms (0-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-5 years) and has a large landscaped backyard and well-designed indoor spaces. The position is a maximum term, part-time role of 16 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday at 8 hours each.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality education and care to all children
• Contribute to planning educational programs that support a child's learning and help them meet their goals
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the community

Required profile

• A cleared valid for paid work, NSW Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
• A cleared National Criminal Record Check
• Demonstrated commitment to protecting children from abuse, harm and neglect
• Demonstrated commitment to cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course
• Details of at least two referees, one of whom must be a manager or supervisor at your current or most recent workplace
