Duty Manager - Club Venues

About the role

The Canberra Southern Cross Club is looking for a dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of its club venues in Tuggeranong. The role maintains high standards of customer service, ensures staff compliance, manages cash handling, enforces security measures, oversees health and safety protocols and supports staff development. The club's values of caring for the community, people and environment, and acting with integrity and respect, guide the work.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain close communication with Service Supervisors and Venue Managers to ensure smooth operations and high-quality customer service.
• Develop and implement customer service standards and continuously monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations in line with company policy.
• Enforce appropriate security measures during trading hours.
• Monitor and report health and safety issues within the establishment.
• Support staff through appraisals, mentoring, coaching and development.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of club compliance requirements.
• Certification for Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
• Certification for Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG).
• Certification as a Gaming Contact Officer (GCO).
• First Aid and CPR certification.
