Duty Manager – Central Queensland (Live-In)

About the role

An established multi-outlet hospitality operation in Central Queensland is looking for an experienced, hands-on Duty Manager to take an active part in daily venue management, lead and support the team and deliver service across the bar, gaming, floor and functions. The role suits someone who leads from the front in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing operations and supporting staff on the floor. Accommodation is shared off-site rental.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and support staff across multiple departments
• Provide hands-on bar service, including drink preparation, table service and stock control
• Oversee gaming operations and process payouts in line with venue procedures
• Assist with functions, events and special occasions
• Manage cash handling, till balancing and end-of-shift reconciliations
• Maintain venue presentation and cleanliness, including changing beer lines and kegs
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service and help keep the venue safe
• Take an active part in day-to-day operations and support the wider team

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy venue, ideally across several departments
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating daily operations
• Confident, practical and organised, with strong customer service skills
• Ability to keep a team motivated while managing competing priorities
• Commitment to responsible service, compliance and guest satisfaction

Required skills

• Solid bar knowledge and confidence with gaming operations
• Good cash-handling skills and understanding of end-of-shift procedures
• Proactive attitude and ability to lead by example

Licensing requirements

Current Queensland RSA, RSG, CLO, RMLV and Approved Manager licence, or the ability to obtain them.

• Salary of $77,000-$80,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience
