Driver & Logistics Support Officer – ACT Health Centre

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team at the ACT Health Centre, a large on‑base medical facility supporting around 7,000 Defence personnel. You will provide safe patient transport and reliable logistics support to ensure high‑quality care for service members.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and clean JHU vehicles, including ambulances, and verify equipment functionality.
• Perform basic first aid and conduct routine checks of vehicle and medical equipment.
• Transport non‑emergency patients and deliver medical, pharmaceutical and general supplies between sites.
• Manage inventory: order, receive, store, pick, pack and dispatch medical and general items.
• Replenish first‑aid kits, handle surplus stock returns, and support equipment calibration and tracking.
• Coordinate equipment loans and hires in line with Defence policies.
• Follow Defence procedures, including audits and inventory/accounting compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in logistics, stores or transport.
• Valid driver’s licence and current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certifications.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
• Willingness to keep licences and certifications up to date.
