Dragline Operator

About the role

Glencore is seeking an experienced Dragline Operator to join the Drills and Dragline team at Rolleston Open Cut, a large open‑cut thermal coal mine in Central Queensland. You will work under the Drills and Dragline Supervisor, contributing to safe and efficient mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mining equipment, including BE 2570 draglines, dozers and graders.
• Conduct pre‑start checks to ensure equipment is safe and ready for use.
• Liaise with key personnel to share ideas and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify, assess and control workplace hazards.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating similar equipment in an open‑cut coal mine.
• Strong safety mindset with the ability to influence a positive safety culture.
• Proven problem‑solving abilities and teamwork skills.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
