Domestic Assistant

About the role

Harbour at Home is seeking Domestic Assistants to provide essential cleaning and household support to aged clients in the Grafton community. This role offers an opportunity to start a career in community care while helping clients maintain safe, comfortable homes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform household tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, making beds and changing linen.
• Clean bathrooms and kitchens to a high standard.
• Handle laundry duties including hanging, folding and ironing.
• Maintain clean and comfortable home environments for clients.
• Build rapport and communicate effectively with clients.

Required profile

• Caring nature with clear, empathetic communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Highly organized and adaptable to change.
• Interest in aged care and desire for career growth.
• Current driver’s licence, reliable insured vehicle, and national police check.

Required skills

• First Aid & CPR certification.
