Domestic Assistant – Home Care (Perth)

About the role

Join Southern Cross Care WA as a Domestic Assistant, providing essential home‑care support to older clients across Perth. You will travel between client homes, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that enables them to stay independent for as long as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Perform domestic duties (cleaning, laundry, tidying) in line with each client’s Care Plan.
• Report any changes in client behaviour or needs to the Client Care Coordinator.
• Maintain a pleasant, professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
• Ensure client satisfaction with the services provided.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Participate in Support Worker and Domestic Assistant meetings.

Required profile

• Commitment to Southern Cross Care’s values and mission.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Experience assisting with domestic tasks (formal aged‑care experience not required).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use mobile technology and apps.
• Reliable vehicle and a valid WA driver’s licence with confidence driving in peak traffic.
