Distribution Centre Manager

About the role

Bega Group is looking for a Distribution Centre Manager to lead outbound logistics at its Chelsea Heights site in Melbourne's south-east, which manufactures more than 44 milk, milk-based beverage and cream products, producing around 100 million litres per year. The manager leads a team of about 3 direct reports and around 50 indirect reports and delivers an effective, efficient and agile warehouse operation. The role is on site Monday to Friday during operating hours, with some flexibility on WFH days.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 50, fostering a culture of safety, inclusion and continuous improvement
• Oversee service delivery, quality and cost performance metrics to meet operational targets
• Collaborate with manufacturing, transport and logistics teams across VIC/TAS to drive network excellence
• Identify and implement value-creation opportunities aligned with strategic objectives
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to support business growth and customer satisfaction

Required profile

• A people-focused leader with a strong commitment to safety and team development
• Experience in FMCG warehousing operations and a passion for a positive workplace culture
• Background in safety systems and programs, cold chain and regulatory compliance metrics, and vendor management
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and communication across diverse teams
