Director, Sustainability Lead

About the role

Sodali & Co is seeking an experienced Director to lead its Sustainability Practice in the APAC region, based in Sydney. The role combines strategic leadership of the local office with delivery of complex sustainability and climate advisory projects for multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the Sydney office while managing high‑impact client engagements covering sustainability, climate transition and ESG services.
• Develop and contribute to the practice’s thought‑leadership platform to strengthen Sodali’s reputation with clients and stakeholders.
• Design, execute and manage sustainability business‑development campaigns, collaborating with global teams and integrating services such as shareholder advisory and strategic communications.
• Present deliverables and advise C‑suite executives and corporate boards with confidence and authority.
• Mentor junior staff, provide feedback on deliverables, and support training initiatives within the practice.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in sustainability consulting, preferably within a global advisory firm.
• Strong track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex client projects across the APAC region.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence C‑suite and board members.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Sydney at least three days per week and travel modestly for client work and firm events.
