Director - Skills Centre and Partnerships

About the role

The Director will lead the network of Skills Centres across the Northern Territory, ensuring high‑quality vocational education and training delivery. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with industry, community and government to achieve project outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day management of all Department of Education and Training Skills Centres in the NT.
• Develop and implement improvement plans, monitor performance and ensure compliance with VET policies.
• Manage budgets, resources and reporting for the Skills Centre network.
• Lead the development of partnerships with industry, community organisations and other government agencies.
• Coordinate vocational education and training projects and deliver on agreed outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to centre managers and staff.

Required profile

• Senior administrative experience (Senior Administrative Officer 2 level) within education, training or a related public sector environment.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage multi‑site operations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership development skills.
• Knowledge of the Northern Territory vocational education framework.
• Excellent communication, strategic planning and analytical abilities.
