Director of Interprofessional Education and Practice

About the role

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University is seeking an outstanding academic leader to shape the future of collaborative healthcare education. This three‑year full‑time position will drive innovation, excellence and impact across interprofessional education (IPE) and interprofessional practice (IPP) programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and expert advice to embed high‑quality, scaffolded interprofessional learning throughout curricula, fieldwork and placements.
• Collaborate with schools, industry partners and placement providers to meet accreditation standards and workforce expectations.
• Design and deliver professional development and mentorship programmes for academic and professional staff.
• Lead innovation in technology‑enabled healthcare, telehealth and AI applications in health education.
• Develop and manage competitive research grants, supervise research students and build a strong scholarship portfolio in IPE/IPP.
• Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Curtin Clinics and industry partners.

Required profile

• Proven academic leadership experience in health sciences education.
• Demonstrated expertise in interprofessional education and practice.
• Track record of securing research funding and supervising graduate research.
• Ability to build and maintain strong industry and community partnerships.
• Experience in curriculum design, accreditation processes and professional development.
