Director of Assessment and Interventions

About the role

The Rehabilitation and Reintegration Branch seeks a senior leader to head its Assessment and Interventions business area. The Director will oversee forensic and clinical assessment services, treatment programmes, and case management for prisoners and community‑based clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering forensic psychological assessments, interventions and treatment recommendations.
• Govern the development, quality assurance and delivery of specialised rehabilitation programmes.
• Provide expert reports and advice to courts, parole boards and other releasing authorities.
• Manage case‑load processes for individuals in custody and in the community.
• Collaborate with other business areas such as Sentence Management, Clinical Governance and Education to ensure integrated service delivery.

Required profile

• Accredited Masters or Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology.
• General registration with AHPRA and endorsement in Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychology.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
