Director - GST Advisory

About the role

KPMG’s Indirect Tax team is seeking a Director to lead GST advisory and transaction engagements across Australia. The role combines technical tax expertise with commercial insight and people leadership, shaping national strategy and driving growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex GST advisory and transaction projects as the senior technical expert.
• Communicate GST concepts clearly to stakeholders, including non‑tax professionals.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and develop new client relationships.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing team, fostering inclusion and capability growth.
• Contribute to national thought leadership through publications, industry events, and innovation in tax technology, data analytics, and automation.
