Director, Consumer (Australia)

About the role

The Director, Consumer for Australia will own the product and growth strategy for PayPal’s consumer business in the market. Reporting to global leadership, you will drive revenue, market expansion and the end‑to‑end consumer funnel while balancing product design, regulatory and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, channels and opportunities to drive revenue growth and global market expansion.
• Lead negotiations with external partners and coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver complex partnership solutions.
• Align product and business levers such as pricing and FX to maximize revenue.
• Represent the end‑customer, using market research and analytics to prioritize product decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, risk, legal, sales, marketing, finance and banking partners in a matrix organization.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Proven track record of end‑to‑end ownership of a consumer growth funnel and meeting active‑account, acquisition and revenue targets.
• Experience shaping global product direction from local market insights.
• Strong quantitative instincts and ability to turn cohort data into growth and investment decisions.
• Executive communication style with ability to influence without direct authority.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of payments, fintech or financial services markets.
• Experience with P&L responsibility and commercial strategy.
• Ability to analyze cohort and funnel data to drive product and growth decisions.
