Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator

About the role

We are seeking a Diploma Qualified Educator to provide high‑quality education and care for children aged 2 to 5 years in our early learning centre. You will support learning outcomes in line with the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of programs that reflect the approved learning framework.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and the community.
• Facilitate play‑based learning environments responsive to children’s interests, strengths, and abilities.
• Set up and pack down learning areas and maintain room cleanliness.
• Document children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Diploma in Children Services (essential) with experience at a diploma level in an early learning service.
• Demonstrated ability to record observations, write learning stories, and support curriculum planning.
• Understanding of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Strong knowledge of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements.
• Effective communication with colleagues, families, and community members.
• Experience with children who have developmental delays or disabilities is desirable.
• Adaptable, empathetic, resourceful and aligned with Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
