Digital Support Officer – M365 Business Automation

About the role

Join a secure Australian Government environment to drive digital improvement. You will work directly with business users to automate processes, enhance reporting and streamline workflows using Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with users to understand current processes, pain points and improvement opportunities.
• Gather and document functional requirements.
• Recommend practical digital solutions using approved enterprise tools.
• Design, build and maintain automation solutions with SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI.
• Manage a backlog of enhancements and continuously improve existing solutions.
• Ensure solutions align with organisational standards and are easy for users to adopt.
• Provide user training, basic support, documentation and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Practical experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and the Power Platform.
• Experience designing, building or maintaining workflow automation and business‑improvement solutions.
• Understanding of basic data modelling and reporting concepts.
• Ability to work directly with non‑technical users, gather requirements and translate them into digital outcomes.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Experience managing small backlogs and delivering continuous improvement.
• Capability to work in a secure, standards‑driven environment.
• Desirable: experience in government, information management or information security.
