Digital Designer – In‑house Creative Team

About the role

Join a leading Australian retail group’s in‑house creative collective as a Digital Designer. You will work in a fast‑paced, high‑output team delivering digital assets across web, email, social, programmatic and video, while maintaining strict brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑quality digital layouts for web, email, social, programmatic and video channels, adhering to brand standards.
• Take briefs from concept through to final execution, presenting design rationale to stakeholders.
• Prioritise a digital‑first, mobile‑first approach and ensure visual consistency across all touchpoints.
• Stay updated on emerging digital design trends, technologies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with the SPAM Act and other digital performance and accessibility standards.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and flagging potential blockers.
• Collaborate with marketing, copywriters and other stakeholders to deliver integrated creative solutions.
• Work with internal or external production partners such as photographers, motion designers and illustrators when required.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in digital design, preferably within an internal agency.
• Proven ability to interpret complex briefs and translate them into coherent digital campaigns.
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, colour theory and composition across digital platforms.
• Experience creating compelling visuals for diverse audiences and purposes.
• Ability to use customer insights and performance data to inform design decisions.
