Dewatering Technician – Open‑Cut Mining

About the role

The Dewatering Technician joins the surface mining team at the St Ives Gold Mine, supporting open‑cut operations through effective water management. Reporting to the Dewatering Supervisor, you will work on a rotating 8/6 days and 7/7 nights roster, either from Perth (FIFO) or locally in Kalgoorlie/Kambalda.

Key responsibilities

• Install, move and remove poly pipelines, diesel pumping systems and related plant for dewatering activities.
• Carry out inspections, troubleshoot issues and perform repairs to meet maintenance targets and minimise production loss.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and adhere to all safety and compliance procedures.
• Support the team in achieving reliable water control for uninterrupted mining operations.

Required profile

• Current HR driver’s licence.
• Certificate (PMBWELD301B) for butt welding of pipelines (desirable).
• Integrated Tool Handler qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
• Dogging and/or Rigging Ticket (desirable).

Required skills

• Installation of poly pipelines.
