About the role
As part of Saab Australia's Defence Delivery group, the DevSecOps Engineer will help develop and maintain the Saab 9LV Combat Management System, a naval command and control platform. The role focuses on enhancing the System Delivery Group (SDG) development environments and delivering secure, efficient solutions that meet user needs while adhering to corporate policies.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and improve SDG DevSecOps enhancements and tooling.
- Monitor, identify, and resolve issues in SDG systems and development environments.
- Maintain Jira tasks with accurate status, effort logs, and time estimates.
- Log detailed defects and triage ServiceHub tickets.
- Support configuration and management of Atlassian Datacenter suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Fisheye, Crucible).
Required profile
- Familiarity with the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Information Security Manual (ISM).
- Experience with Agile principles and processes.
- Ability to obtain or hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1 preferred).
Required skills
- Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.
- Containerised application development and deployment.
- Configuration tools such as Ansible.
- Monitoring and analytics tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
- Linux system administration and open‑source tool management.
- Atlassian Datacenter suite configuration and rollout.
