DevOps Observability Lead

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Observability Lead to own the monitoring and reliability strategy for our cloud‑native AWS platform. The role will shape how we collect, visualise and act on telemetry across services such as EKS, Lambda and SNS, ensuring the platform meets defined service objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end observability solutions for AWS services, including CloudWatch dashboards, alerts and metric pipelines.
• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs and alerting policies that align with business expectations.
• Build and operate centralized monitoring using AWS CloudWatch and IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Create tailored dashboards for engineering, operations and business stakeholders.
• Lead incident detection, troubleshooting and post‑mortem analysis to drive continuous reliability improvements.
• Promote Infrastructure‑as‑Code adoption for all observability components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed reliability best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• 8‑12+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, cloud operations and observability.
• Proven track record of leading monitoring initiatives in AWS environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• AWS CloudWatch, Amazon EKS, AWS Lambda, Amazon SNS.
• Observability and monitoring best practices.
• SRE concepts – SLIs, SLOs, incident management.
• Dashboarding and alerting tools (Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Root‑cause analysis and performance monitoring.
• Relevant AWS and DevOps certifications (preferred).
