DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join ezyCollect by Sidetrade in Sydney. You will help modernise our infrastructure as we transition to an AI‑first fintech platform, ensuring our services are secure, performant and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure that supports high‑availability and resilient services.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI, GoCD and GitHub Actions to enable rapid, reliable releases.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks with scripting languages (Shell, Python, JavaScript, Ruby).
• Monitor system performance, security and capacity, and implement improvements proactively.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product teams and leadership to deliver infrastructure that accelerates development velocity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a fast‑moving SaaS or fintech environment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on automation and reliability.
• Ability to work autonomously while partnering effectively across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure management.
• CI/CD tooling: CircleCI, GoCD, GitHub Actions.
• Scripting/Programming: Shell, Python, JavaScript, Ruby.
• Infrastructure as Code concepts and automation.
