DevOps Engineer – Cloud Services & Future Environment Project

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a Future Environment Establishment Project and support the Cloud Services stream. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining automated pipelines and infrastructure in a secure cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, repeatable application and infrastructure deployments.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and configure cloud environments.
• Embed DevSecOps practices, integrating security controls and automated testing into delivery pipelines.
• Implement environment configuration management, version control and release management processes.
• Monitor pipeline performance, system reliability and deployment outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cloud platform, security and network teams to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient and compliant with government requirements.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship.
• Minimum NV1 security clearance.
• Ability to work onsite in Canberra three days per week.
• Proven experience in DevOps engineering within cloud environments.
