DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation (Mid-Level)

About the role

We are looking for a mid-level DevOps Engineer to join our Technology Operations team. You will help redesign and operate a market-leading platform used in mining and construction, focusing on autonomous systems, geospatial tech and AI-driven capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure end-to-end automation for build, deployment, infrastructure and operational workflows.
• Develop and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines with emphasis on security, reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, QA and platform teams to standardise environments and deployment processes.
• Identify and remediate systemic inefficiencies, operational risks and automation opportunities.
• Support and optimise cloud-native and containerised environments, including Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Investigate complex deployment and infrastructure issues, providing root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
• Work with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity and compliance groups to meet governance standards.
• Create reusable automation frameworks, templates and best-practice documentation.
• Produce technical runbooks and mentor engineers on DevOps and platform practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or platform engineering.
• Strong background in automation, security and operational excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively across distributed Agile teams.
