DevOps Engineer – Brisbane

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer you will play a hands‑on role in building, deploying and supporting critical applications for a large retirement‑focused organisation. You will work closely with engineers, technical leads and release teams to ensure reliable, high‑quality deployments across both cloud and on‑premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple technology domains.
• Support application deployment, integration and operational processes.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering and Release teams to uplift platform maturity.
• Design and implement application and platform solutions for core business systems.
• Monitor, optimise and right‑size application performance and capacity.
• Embed test automation and quality standards into deployment pipelines.
• Work within ITSM processes for change, incident and service transition.
• Contribute to on‑call support and occasional out‑of‑hours work as required.

Required profile

• Experienced DevOps professional with a collaborative mindset.
• Proven experience supporting critical applications across Windows and Linux, on‑premise and cloud (AWS and/or Azure).
• Hands‑on CI/CD experience using tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with scripted deployment tools (e.g., Puppet, Octopus Deploy).
• Strong understanding of continuous delivery and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with PaaS, containers and orchestration technologies.
• Effective communication skills and ability to document processes clearly.
