DevOps Architect – Salesforce

About the role

Lead the design and implementation of a scalable DevOps and CI/CD framework for a large‑scale Salesforce transformation program in the telecommunications sector. The role focuses on enabling continuous delivery, environment strategy, and release governance across multiple squads.

Key responsibilities

• Define DevOps strategy, operating model, and release governance for Salesforce delivery.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines using Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Configure Git‑based version control, branching strategies and code promotion workflows.
• Automate builds, validations, deployments, and test execution (Apex, UI automation, regression suites).
• Define environment strategy across Dev, SIT, UAT, Pre‑Prod and Production, including scratch orgs and sandboxes.
• Implement packaging strategies such as unlocked packages and manage dependencies.
• Integrate quality gates, code scanning, security checks and monitor pipeline performance using DORA KPIs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of engineering delivery experience, including 5+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem.
• 3+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.
• Experience in the telecommunications domain (BSS/OSS, product lifecycle, order management).

Required skills

• Salesforce DX (SFDX), Metadata API, Apex, LWC, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communications Cloud.
• CI/CD tools: Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub.
• Version control and branching strategies (feature, trunk‑based, release branches).
• Integration technologies: APIs, MuleSoft, other middleware.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure.
