Development Engineer - Stormwater & Drainage

About the role

Ivory Group is recruiting a Development Engineer for a respected local government authority in Sydney. You will give technical advice from an engineering perspective and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including developers. The position starts on an initial 6-month contract, with potential work-from-home arrangements and the chance to build skills within local government.

Key responsibilities

• Assess stormwater aspects of development applications
• Provide administrative support and manage records for the Drainage Development Assessment team
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on development matters
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and work independently with minimal supervision

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications
• Council experience in development engineering is desirable
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
