Desktop Support Technician – End User Computing

About the role

Join the End User Computing team at RACV and provide responsive desktop support to more than 2,500 staff across Australia. You will be the first line of defence for Windows, Office and mobile environments, ensuring critical systems stay operational. The role combines hands‑on technical work with excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 2 support for managed Windows 11 desktops and Microsoft Office enterprise applications.
• Support meeting‑room technology and coordinate vendor escalations when needed.
• Maintain a small fleet of Apple devices, leveraging vendor support as required.
• Manage the printer fleet, including troubleshooting and vendor escalation.
• Log and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
• Maintain hardware, mobile devices and asset records in the CMDB.
• Assist with hardware repairs, upgrades and deployments.
• Provide remote and occasional onsite support across RACV locations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of desktop services and create documentation for support teams.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving and incident‑management skills.
• Excellent communication ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to high‑quality service.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks and collaborate within a team.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent experience.
